In 2011, Los Angeles County Supervisor Mike Antonovich appointed Mr. Hoffenblum to serve on the Supervisorial District Boundary Review Committee, responsible for recommending how supervisorial district lines should be redrawn to account for population and demographic changes. He also served on this committee in 2001, 1991 and 1981.
Mr. Hoffenblum has been a faculty instructor on political campaign management at both UC Davis Extension and UCLA Extension. From 2003 through 2005, he appeared twice weekly as a political analyst with KCAL-TV, Channel 9, in Los Angeles and continues to be regularly interviewed on the politics of the day by CNN, FOX News, NPR and other news media outlets nationally and worldwide.
His opinion pieces run regularly on the eminent California business and politics website Fox and Hounds Daily.
Mr. Hoffenblum no longer manages political races and now concentrates his time as Publisher and Co-Editor of the California Target Book®, a non-partisan, multi-volume subscription service that tracks and analyzes all federal and state legislative races in California.
Target Book subscribers include major corporations, labor unions, professional trade associations, political action committees (PACs), broadcast and print media, universities and libraries, along with elected officials, lobbyists, political consultants and pollsters.
